Henri Gouges

Domaine Henri Gouges, located in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the Côte de Nuits, is one of the region’s historic estates. Founded in 1920, it is now managed by the fourth generation of the Gouges family, who continue to produce exceptional wines while honoring Burgundian traditions. The domaine covers about 14 hectares, mostly planted with Pinot Noir for reds and a small amount of Chardonnay for whites.

Domaine Henri Gouges is known for rigorous vineyard management, reasoned viticulture, and a commitment to terroir preservation. Hand harvesting ensures optimal grape selection. Traditional vinifications with oak barrel aging for reds impart complex aromas and great depth.

The wines are famous for their power, complexity, and aging potential. Reds offer aromas of dark fruit, forest floor, and spice, with firm yet elegant tannins. Their Nuits-Saint-Georges cuvées are especially sought after, combining strong structure with balance and refinement. The rarer whites are fresh, mineral, and highly refined, with subtle stone fruit aromas and pleasant acidity.
