Duroché
Domaine Duroché, located in Gevrey-Chambertin at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, is a multi-generational family estate. Today, it is led by Frédéric Duroché and spans approximately 9 hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines, cultivated on prestigious appellations such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Morey-Saint-Denis.
The estate practices meticulous, biodynamic viticulture and is Demeter-certified. The vineyards are managed with a reasoned approach, emphasizing soil health and limited treatments to preserve biodiversity. Harvesting is done by hand, and traditional wooden vat fermentation ensures the purity of the fruit. Ageing in oak barrels is handled with great care, adding subtle complexity to the wines.
Domaine Duroché’s wines are celebrated for their finesse and elegance. The reds, primarily Pinot Noir, showcase aromas of red and black fruits, violets, and delicate spices. They reveal a fine structure, silky tannins, and impressive depth. The whites, made from Chardonnay, are fresh and mineral, with perfect balance, lively acidity, and refined notes of stone fruit and flowers.
