Domaine Pattes Loup, located in Courgis in the Côte de Nuits, is a small operation led by passionate and committed vigneron Hubert Lamy. Working with around 3 hectares, he cultivates village and premier cru plots, with a focus on crafting elegant and straightforward Pinot Noir. The approach is resolutely artisanal: natural viticulture, plowing, manual harvesting, and strict sorting.
Fermentations are spontaneous with indigenous yeasts, sometimes with whole-cluster bunches, and aging takes place in old barrels with minimal new oak. The cuvées are often limited in production, crafted to express fruit finesse, freshness, and delicate tension. Domaine Pattes Loup is appealing for its attention to detail, its sincerity, and the clear, honest expression of terroir it delivers.
