Clos De Tart
Domaine du Clos du Tart, located in Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits, is a historic Burgundy estate dating back to the 12th century. Classified as a Grand Cru, it is a 7.5-hectare monopole—one of the most prestigious in the region. Acquired by the de Montille family in 2017, the domaine had long been managed by the monks of the Tart Abbey.
Now under the guidance of the de Montille family, the domaine has embraced environmentally respectful viticulture, converting to biodynamics. With meticulous vineyard care, manual harvesting, and traditional vinification, the estate preserves the authenticity of its unique terroir. Oak aging is precisely managed to showcase the wine’s full complexity.
The wines of Clos du Tart are powerful yet refined, offering deep flavors of dark fruit, spices, and floral notes. These wines boast a silky texture and complex tannic structure, evolving beautifully with age. It remains one of Burgundy’s most iconic Grand Crus with exceptional aging potential.
