Domaine René Leclerc, based in Gevrey-Chambertin, is a small family-run estate of around 5 hectares, carefully managed. René passed on his passion to his son Guillaume, and together they practice sustainable farming, manual harvesting, meticulous sorting, and vinification by individual parcel. Aging is done in oak barrels with a cautious use of new wood.
The wines, mostly red, stand out for their balanced structure, intense red fruit aromas, and lively freshness. The estate also produces a few discreet yet well-crafted premier crus, showcasing the ability to highlight each terroir. Overall, it reflects the precision and consistency of an independent, small-scale estate in Gevrey-Chambertin.
