Domaine Jean Fournier
The Domaine Jean Fournier is a family-run estate located in Marsannay-la-Côte, at the northern tip of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. Present in the village for several generations, the Fournier family now cultivates around 18 hectares of vineyards spread across the appellations of Marsannay, Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, as well as a few plots in the Côte de Beaune.
The estate is managed by Laurent Fournier, who took over in the early 2000s. He has led a strong commitment to quality and sustainability by converting the estate to organic farming (certified since 2008). He is also known for working with rare grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, alongside the traditional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Aligoté.
His most emblematic cuvées, like "Les Trois Terres", reflect a precise, dedicated, and terroir-driven viticulture. The wines are known for their purity, depth, and expressive character, and the estate is regularly praised by critics for the consistency and distinctiveness of its wines, particularly in Marsannay, a rising appellation of the Côte de Nuits.
