AF Gros
Domaine A.-F. Gros, located in Pommard, is a family estate founded in 1988 by Anne-Françoise Gros and her husband François Parent.
Today, the estate covers about 15 hectares mainly in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, including prestigious plots in Pommard, Vosne-Romanée, Échézeaux, Richebourg, Beaune, and Chambolle-Musigny. The family management is carried on by the second generation, Caroline and Mathias, who bring new energy while respecting family tradition.
The estate practices sustainable viticulture, favoring manual work, respect for the soil and vines, as well as hand harvesting with rigorous sorting both in the vineyard and cellar. Vinification is traditional, with particular attention to fermentations and aging in barrels, mainly in old wood with a limited percentage of new barrels depending on the cuvée.
The red wines are characterized by remarkable aromatic depth, combining fruit finesse, elegant tannins, and complexity linked to the terroir. The Premier and Grand Crus produced are regularly recognized for their consistency, balance, and aging potential.
This estate embodies a modern approach combined with passed-down expertise, with an emphasis on aromatic purity and the typicity of Burgundian terroirs.
