Fruitière Vinicole de Pupillin

The Fruitière Vinicole de Pupillin is a cooperative winery founded in 1909, symbolizing the solidarity and winemaking tradition of the Jura. Today it brings together around forty winegrowers who cultivate approximately 65 hectares of vines around Pupillin, a village known as the “world capital of Ploussard.”

The cooperative produces a wide range of wines under the Arbois-Pupillin, Arbois, and Côtes du Jura appellations, as well as Crémant du Jura, Macvin, and vin de paille. It highlights local grape varieties such as Ploussard, Savagnin, Trousseau, as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Collective work ensures high quality while offering accessible cuvées faithful to tradition. Winemaking is carried out in modern facilities, with a strong emphasis on respecting the identity of each grape variety. The red wines are light, aromatic, and easy-drinking, while the whites display great tension and floral notes. The vin jaune produced by the Fruitière is also highly sought after, showing classic oxidative typicity. This structure reflects the cooperative dynamism and the diversity of Jura viticulture.
