Beaujolais
The Beaujolais
The Beaujolais is a wine-growing region located between Lyon and Mâcon, in the south of Burgundy. It is famous for its red wines made primarily from the Gamay grape, which produce fruity, smooth, and expressive crus. The vineyards stretch across rolling hills with granitic and clay-limestone soils, offering a great diversity of terroirs. The region is home to ten renowned crus, such as Morgon, Fleurie, and Moulin-à-Vent, each with its own unique character. The Beaujolais is also known for its friendly atmosphere and ancestral know-how, combining tradition and modernity in the production of distinctive wines.
