Julien Brocard
The Domaine Julien Brocard, located in Préhy near Chablis, is a family estate taken over by Julien in 1995. After studying engineering, he chose to convert the estate to biodynamics in 2002. In 2011, he created his own range “Les 7 lieux,” revealing the Chablis terroirs through single-vineyard cuvées.
The vineyard covers 20 hectares cultivated on Kimmeridgian limestone, giving the wines their tension and minerality. Vinification is low-intervention, using stainless steel tanks and large oak vats to preserve the purity of the juice.
Julien Brocard's wines stand out for their freshness, salinity, and balance. The cuvées, from Petit Chablis to the Grand Cru Les Preuses, reveal the deep identity of Chablis. The estate is committed to restoring biodiversity with the planting of hedgerows and fruit trees. Julien Brocard also develops wine tourism with on-site visits and tastings. This estate embodies a modern and committed Chablis, respectful of its terroir and environment.
