Domaine Richard Manière

Domaine Richard Manière is a family-run estate located in Vosne-Romanée, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, and has been passed down through several generations. Richard Manière took over the domaine in 1998, continuing the work of his predecessors. The vineyard now spans around ten hectares across several prestigious appellations, mainly planted with Pinot Noir. The domaine holds vines in regional appellations (Bourgogne Pinot Noir), village-level wines (Vosne-Romanée, Fixin), Premier Crus (Les Suchots in Vosne-Romanée, Les Porets in Nuits-Saint-Georges), and even a Grand Cru parcel in Échezeaux.

The vineyard is cultivated according to sustainable viticulture practices, with particular attention paid to soil balance, respect for the vines, and minimizing inputs. Harvesting is done entirely by hand to preserve the quality of the grapes. In the cellar, winemaking follows traditional methods, with maceration tailored to each vintage and aging in French oak barrels, some of which are new, depending on the cuvée.

The wines are renowned for their aromatic finesse, elegant structure, and their ability to faithfully reflect the nuances of their terroirs. They also offer strong aging potential while remaining approachable in their youth for the more supple cuvées. The domaine stands as a discreet yet dependable name in Vosne-Romanée, committed to an artisanal and authentic vision of Burgundy winemaking.
