Bourgogne Côte d'Or

The Bourgogne Côte d'Or appellation is a regional designation created in 2017, reserved for still wines produced exclusively on the slopes of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, at the heart of Burgundy's vineyards. It covers around 1,000 hectares and highlights red wines made primarily from Pinot Noir and white wines from Chardonnay, sourced from carefully selected plots on these prestigious terroirs. The appellation stands out for its higher quality requirements compared to the simple “Bourgogne”, reflecting the precise expression of the limestone and clay-limestone soils of the Côte d'Or.

Bourgogne Côte d'Or red wines offer aromas of fresh red fruits, cherry, and raspberry, with an elegant structure and silky tannins while retaining the freshness characteristic of the region. The white wines reveal notes of white flowers, citrus, and sometimes a hint of minerality, with a balanced and lively palate. This appellation allows wine enthusiasts to access the elegance of Burgundy’s great terroirs at more accessible prices. It serves as a gateway to the finesse and typicity of Côte d'Or wines while guaranteeing origin and respect for the terroir.
