The Nuits-Saint-Georges terroir, mostly planted with Pinot Noir, rests on diverse clay-limestone soils, sometimes enriched with alluvium or ancient sediments depending on slopes and "lieux-dits" (named plots), offering structure, minerality, and progressive aromatic maturity to the grape. Domaine Nicole Lamarche (formerly François Lamarche), located in Vosne-Romanée and managed under organic agriculture since 2010, works each plot with rigor, harvests by hand, and pays special attention to the expression of the soil in each wine. For the creation of this Village cuvée, the vinification follows Burgundian tradition with a meticulous sorting of the clusters, fermentation in vats using indigenous yeasts, delicate pump-overs, and aging for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels to bring complexity without masking the fruit.

THE WINE AT TASTING

The profile: A Village appellation red wine, reflecting the elegant power typical of Nuits-Saint-Georges.

The aromas:The color is deep ruby. The nose blends notes of ripe black fruits, violet, and delicate spices.

The palate: The mouth combines silky tannins, freshness, and a persistent finish.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS

Recommended pairings: This cuvée pairs ideally with dry-aged beef steak (with a red wine reduction and candied shallots), pot-roasted feathered game (with a wild berry sauce), or roasted veal chop (with mushroom purée and fresh herbs).

Serving temperature: The recommended serving temperature is 16°.

WHY CHOOSE THIS BOTTLE?

The typicity of the terroir: The structure, minerality, and progressive aromatic maturity brought by the diversity of the clay-limestone soils of Nuits-Saint-Georges.

The estate's signature: Nicole Lamarche's rigorous approach, combining manual harvests, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and a certified organic farming management since 2010.

Burgundian elegance: A traditional Pinot Noir that benefits from 16 to 18 months of aging in oak barrels, perfectly balancing silky tannins and black fruit aromas with a persistent finish.
