Located in the south of the appellation, this "climat" comes from clay-limestone soils. Hand-harvested with selective sorting, this 100% Pinot Noir is aged in French oak barrels for 16 to 22 months.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Powerful, revealing great aromatic complexity with notes of minty cocoa, Madagascar vanilla, fresh rose, and a smoky/chalky touch.
  • Palate: It impresses with its density and power, nearly matching the structure of certain Pinot Noirs from the Côte de Nuits. Rather than its tannic structure, it is its savory character—particularly indulgent and persistent—that stands out.

Established in 1979 in Marsannay-la-Côte, in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Bruno Clair is a family-run estate covering 27 hectares across 8 villages, producing 32 different appellations. Bruno Clair, a descendant of a long line of winemakers, built the estate by bringing together family-owned parcels and acquiring new vineyards.

The domaine is renowned for its red wines made from Pinot Noir, particularly from Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, and Chambolle-Musigny, as well as for its white wines from Marsannay and Morey-Saint-Denis. The estate's philosophy is rooted in sustainable viticulture, with a strong respect for the soil and the vine, aiming to produce elegant wines that faithfully reflect their terroirs.
