Domaine Labruyère

Domaine Labruyère, located in Moulin-à-Vent in Beaujolais, is a historic winery founded in 1850. Today managed by the Labruyère family, the estate covers about 30 hectares of vines on prized parcels of the Moulin-à-Vent appellation, one of the most prestigious crus in Beaujolais. The domaine is particularly recognized for its expertise in producing wines from the Gamay grape, the king grape of the region, and for its ability to reveal the full complexity of the terroir in its cuvées.

Domaine Labruyère follows sustainable and reasoned viticulture with deep respect for the environment. Harvesting is manual to select the ripest grapes and ensure wine quality. In the cellar, vinifications are carried out respecting traditional methods while using modern techniques to optimize aroma expression and wine structure. Aging is done in oak barrels, adding complexity and depth to the wines.

Domaine Labruyère’s wines are very elegant, with aromas of ripe red fruits, violet, and spicy notes typical of Gamay. The reds are well-structured, with fine tannins and balanced acidity, making them suitable for long aging. Thanks to their richness and finesse, these wines can improve with age and reveal new nuances over time. The domaine offers exceptional cuvées that illustrate the potential of the Beaujolais region to produce wines of great complexity, far beyond the young and fruity wines often associated with this appellation.
