Domaine Maillard Père & Fils
The Domaine Maillard Père & Fils is a family-owned estate founded in 1952 in Chorey-lès-Beaune by Daniel Maillard, descending from a lineage of winemakers dating back to 1766. The estate spans approximately 19 hectares across seven villages of the Côte de Beaune (Chorey, Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix, Pommard, Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Meursault, and Volnay) and is now managed by Alain and Pascal Maillard, who oversee the vineyards and winemaking respectively.
The estate follows a traditional and sustainable approach, with manual harvesting, fermentations lasting 12 to 20 days, followed by barrel aging for 12 to 15 months (using 25–80% new oak depending on the cuvée), often without filtration.
The domaine produces a broad range of red and white wines (Corton Grand Cru, Aloxe-Corton, Pommard, Chorey-Blanc, Beaune, and more) renowned for their power, fruit expression, and balance. The wines are generous, elegant, and offer good aging potential, faithfully reflecting the terroirs of the Côte de Beaune.
