Domaine Marcel Amance

The Marcel Amance estate is a young Burgundian label born from the desire of the Prosper Maufoux house to showcase the terroirs of the Mâconnais and Côte Chalonnaise. This modern subsidiary embodies a contemporary approach to wine, focusing on precision, freshness, and accessibility while remaining true to the high standards of its parent house.

The estate primarily works with classic Burgundian grape varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) sourced from carefully selected parcels on the region’s clay-limestone slopes. Vineyard management follows environmentally respectful principles, emphasizing sustainable farming practices, soil work, and reasoned viticulture. In the cellar, winemaking is carried out with great technical precision in modern facilities that allow the purest expression of the grape.

Marcel Amance’s white wines stand out for their tension and balance between ripe fruit and mineral freshness, while the reds offer straightforward, elegant expressions of Pinot Noir, with soft tannins and refined aromatic finesse. The entire range is designed to deliver precise, expressive, and immediately enjoyable wines, while retaining good aging potential for the more structured cuvées. Marcel Amance is part of a Burgundian revival driven by a new generation of labels that blend tradition and modernity, with fidelity to terroir as their guiding principle.
