Domaine Taupenot-Merme

Domaine Taupenot-Merme, located in Morey-Saint-Denis in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, is a family-run estate renowned for the quality of its red wines, predominantly made from Pinot Noir. Covering over 20 hectares, the estate holds plots in several prestigious appellations such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Morey-Saint-Denis. This diversity allows for a broad range of cuvées with rich and varied aromatic profiles, combining finesse, freshness, and power.

Romain Taupenot, who heads the estate, adopts a vine-friendly approach inspired by biodynamic practices, promoting both quality and terroir expression. Harvesting is manual, and vinification is traditional, with aging in oak barrels, a portion of which is renewed regularly to ensure freshness and complexity.

The wines are known for their balance, natural elegance, and ability to age gracefully, offering deep and nuanced expressions of the Côte de Nuits terroirs.
