Domaine de la Maison Carrée

Domaine de la Maison Carrée is located in Auvernier, in a historic 18th-century building, featuring two still-functioning vertical wooden presses. The estate belongs to a long-established local winemaking family. The vineyards stretch across the hills around Lake Neuchâtel, with traditional varieties such as Chasselas aged in large oak casks and tanks, as well as Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay.

The estate honors its winemaking heritage through respectful methods that blend ancestral pressing with modern techniques. The wines are characterful and fruity, with beautiful saline minerality from the lakeside terroir.
