The Porret family, winemakers since 1858 in Cortaillod, cultivates about 7 hectares of vines, now managed by the 5th and 6th generations (Jean-Christophe, Nicole, Sophie, and Martin).
The estate grows Pinot Noir, Chasselas, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gamaret, and Divico. Part of the vineyard is affiliated with the eco-network to preserve biodiversity, with grass cover, orchards, and beehives. Harvesting is manual, with careful sorting, fermentation in tanks or traditional wooden vats, and aging in old oak casks.
The whites (from Cortaillod) are vinified on lees in large casks, with citrusy tension and minerality. The Pinot Noir, fermented in traditional vats, develops juicy structure and supple tannins after one year of wood aging. The estate also produces signature cuvées (e.g., Gamaret-Pinot Noir) and a sparkling rosé.
The wines combine freshness, elegance, terroir expression, and consistency. The tasting cellar is open to visitors, with direct sales and participation in Neuchâtel’s open cellar events.
