Founded in 1973 by Aimé Sabon in Courthézon, Domaine de la Janasse is today one of the flagship estates of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Now run by his children, Christophe and Isabelle Sabon, the estate cultivates just over 90 hectares spread across the Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Vin de France appellations.

The estate's philosophy is based on a handcrafted, plot-by-plot approach. Harvesting is done by hand, fermentations are carried out without added yeast, and aging is tailored to each cuvée, using foudres, barrels, or concrete vats. The vineyard is managed using sustainable farming practices, with a strong focus on soil health and biodiversity.

The wines of Domaine de la Janasse are renowned for their richness, depth, and balance. The reds, primarily made from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, are sunny, powerful, yet elegant.
