Chinon

In the Loire Valley, Chinon is the stronghold of Cabernet Franc. The red wines are supple and fruit-forward, with subtle herbal notes in their youth, gaining depth and complexity over time. The appellation offers both easy-drinking wines and more structured cuvées from old vines or limestone (tuffeau) soils.
