From the 2023 vintage, this 100% Pinot Noir dry wine comes from two climats (Aux Réas and Au dessus de la Rivière), with vine ages ranging between 60 and 90 years. It features a deep ruby color and offers a harmonious structure concluding on a fresh and spicy finish.

TASTING NOTES : 

Nose: Complex with floral aromas (rose) and red fruits (cherry, raspberry), accompanied by subtle peppery notes.

Palate: Suave on the palate, featuring a harmonious structure and fine tannins. Fresh and spicy finish.

SERVING & CELLARING : 

Serving temperature: Serve at 16–17°C.

Serving advice: In its youth, light aeration before tasting can be beneficial to the wine.

Cellaring potential: Can be enjoyed in its youth (with aeration) or left to evolve.

Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet, located in Fixin, Burgundy, is run by Amélie Berthaut, representing the seventh generation of the family’s winemakers. The estate spans approximately 16 hectares, with parcels in Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, and Flagey-Échézeaux, primarily planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Amélie practices sustainable viticulture, incorporating organic methods and a terroir-driven approach to winemaking. This includes cold maceration for 3 to 5 days, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging in concrete vats or oak barrels with moderate use of sulfur.

The domaine's wines are renowned for their elegance and authentic expression of the Côte de Nuits terroirs.
