At Domaine Lamarche, the harvest, which is manual, is destemmed. The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes from Domaine Nicole Lamarche (formerly François Lamarche) comes from a clay-limestone plot, well exposed to the rising sun. This red Burgundy wine, made from the Pinot Noir grape variety and managed under organic viticulture, is aged in oak barrels (60 to 100% new wood depending on the vintage). A minimum of four years will be necessary for it to be fully appreciated.

THE WINE AT TASTING

The profile: A red Burgundy wine from a 1er Cru classification, requiring a minimum of four years of waiting before being fully appreciated.

The terroir: A cuvée coming from a clay-limestone plot that benefits from a good exposure to the rising sun.

The palate: A structure shaped by the destemming of a manual harvest and by aging in oak barrels using between 60 and 100% new wood depending on the vintage.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS

Recommended pairings: This Premier Cru accompanies dishes such as pot-roasted partridges, wild rabbit saddle cooked Burgundy-style, or braised duckling with turnips.

Serving temperature: The recommended serving temperature is 16°.

WHY CHOOSE THIS BOTTLE?

The typicity of the terroir: The showcase of the Pinot Noir grape variety on the terroir of the Vosne-Romanée appellation, on a clay-limestone plot exposed to the rising sun.

The estate's signature: Nicole Lamarche's technical approach which privileges a manual and destemmed harvest, combined with organic viticulture.

Burgundian elegance: A wine with a characterful aging in oak barrels (60 to 100% new wood), structured to evolve favorably for at least four years.
