The Monthélie Cuvée La Massale 2022, produced by Domaine Eric Boigelot, is a Burgundy red wine from the Monthélie appellation on the Côte de Beaune. Primarily composed of Pinot Noir, this wine comes from an environmentally friendly viticulture that takes lunar cycles into account. Grown on clay-limestone soils under a continental climate with hot summers, the 2022 vintage benefited from optimal grape maturity, revealing a wine that captures the full essence, richness, and structure of the Burgundy terroir.

WINE TASTING NOTES

  • Color: It presents a brilliant ruby color.
  • Nose: The nose reveals aromas of red fruits and undergrowth.
  • On the palate: Thanks to traditional vinification, the palate is distinguished by its fineness, mineral imprint, silky tannins, and beautiful length.

SERVICE & STORAGE

  • Serving temperature: Best enjoyed at a temperature of 15-17°C.
  • Service advice: Decanting for 30 minutes is recommended to open up its fruity notes and soften its tannins.
  • Grape variety: Predominantly Pinot Noir.

FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS

  • Recommended pairings: It pairs perfectly with a traditional coq au vin or a beef bourguignon (bœuf bourguignon).
  • Vegetarian alternatives: Roasted root vegetables or stuffed mushrooms, grilled with garlic and herbes de Provence, will also match in total harmony
