Domaine de Montille
Located in Volnay in the Côte de Beaune, Domaine de Montille is a landmark family estate in Burgundy. Founded in the 18th century, it has been managed by the de Montille family for several generations. Since 2001, Etienne de Montille has led the estate with a clear vision: combining respect for tradition with a pursuit of excellence. The vineyard covers around 30 hectares, spread across prestigious appellations such as Volnay, Pommard, Meursault, and Puligny-Montrachet.
Domaine de Montille is certified organic and biodynamic, emphasizing terroir diversity and environmental respect. Harvesting is done by hand, and the winemaking is meticulous, with oak barrel aging that adds complexity without masking the purity of the fruit.
The estate’s wines are renowned for their finesse, elegance, and excellent aging potential. The reds, primarily from Pinot Noir, are delicate, with red fruit aromas and spicy notes, supported by fine tannic structure. The whites, made from Chardonnay, are highly precise, showing vibrant tension and aromas of white fruits, flowers, and hazelnuts.
