Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
Mazis-Chambertin is one of the nine Grands Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, located to the north of Clos de Bèze, on the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy.
The appellation covers approximately 8.6 hectares, planted exclusively with Pinot Noir, with brown limestone soils and marl ideal for viticulture.
Mazis-Chambertin wines are distinguished by their power, solid structure, and aromatic complexity. They offer aromas of black fruits, spices, licorice, and undergrowth, evolving towards notes of leather and game as they age. On the palate, these wines are ample, with firm yet elegant tannins and great persistence.
They have remarkable aging potential, allowing enthusiasts to appreciate their evolution over several decades.
Mazis-Chambertin embodies the strength of the Grands Crus of Gevrey while offering a certain mineral depth. These wines pair ideally with characterful dishes such as game or beef bourguignon.
