This red wine is made from Pinot Noir grown on the terroirs of Aloxe-Corton. The 2022 vintage was marked by weather conditions that allowed for optimal grape ripening, with a beautiful aromatic concentration, proving promising for the red wines of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Jean Fournier's grapes are vinified in vats while respecting the typicality of Pinot Noir, then aging takes place in oak barrels, without excess, in order to preserve the fineness and pure expression of the Aloxe-Corton terroir. It presents an elegant and complex structure, characteristic of the wines of this appellation, with good aging potential despite its youth.

WINE TASTING NOTES

  • Color: Intense ruby red color with purple reflections.
  • Nose: Aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by subtle notes of sweet spices and undergrowth.
  • On the palate: Supple initial attack followed by a beautiful, fine, and well-integrated tannic structure, with a fresh and lingering finish.

SERVICE & STORAGE

  • Serving temperature: Serve between 16 and 18°C.
  • Service advice: Decanting for 40 minutes is recommended for young wines to fully express the aromas.
  • Grape variety & Blend: 100% Pinot Noir.
  • Aging potential: Can be enjoyed now but will gain complexity over 8 to 12 years, with an expected peak between 2030 and 2035.
