JEAN FOURNIER - Marsannay Les Longeroies 2022

The Marsannay Les Longeroies Red 2022 from Domaine Jean Fournier is a wine coming from the Marsannay appellation, in the north of the Côte de Nuits, in Burgundy. Sourced from the "Les Longeroies" parcels (Dessus, Bas, Cave aux Loups, Cabane aux Chiens), this Pinot Noir comes from old vines planted between 1930 and 1990, cultivated according to the principles of organic agriculture on a hillside offering a favorable exposure. The production is limited to approximately 11,000 bottles. For several centuries, the Domaine has owned beautiful parcels in "Les Longeroies" which still occupy a special place within the Domaine today.

WINE TASTING NOTES

• Profile and character: Upon tasting, the wine distinguishes itself with an intense ruby color. The nose reveals aromas of fresh red fruits, enriched with floral and spicy notes, which express the soul of the Longeroies terroir.
• On the palate: This wine offers a balanced structure, with silky tannins and a well-judged acidity. Aging in 600 and 228-liter barrels, including about 25% new wood, confers a beautiful complexity and a harmonious finish to the wine.
