This exceptional red wine perfectly reflects the unique terroir of Fixin, located at the northern edge of the appellation bordering Marsannay. Grown on Lias marl soils with sandy characteristics, it is distinguished by a slightly wild character and a limited annual production of approximately 4,000 bottles.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: A brilliant ruby robe.
  • Nose: Rich in aromas of ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry), accompanied by subtle hints of spices and flowers.
  • Palate: A fine structure marked by angular, slightly wild tannins typical of this singular terroir. The vinification using 50% whole clusters adds significant complexity.
  • Finish: Long and harmonious.

The bold character of this terroir is an ideal match for refined and flavorful dishes:

  • Meat & Tradition: Roasted duck, beef bourguignon, or grilled meats.
