Domaine Virot is a small family-run estate in Mercurey, managed according to organic farming practices. For many years Pierre has been making precise wines there, paying particular attention to aromatic extraction in order to best convey the purity of the Burgundian terroir.

The estate mainly produces red cuvées from Pinot Noir, such as the Vieilles Vignes cuvée, known for its fruit and suppleness, as well as several premier crus (Clos de Paradis, Clos des Montaigus…). It also vinifies several white cuvées from Chardonnay, including its iconic Le Châtelet cuvée within the Mercurey appellation. Marked by minerality and balance, the overall production of Domaine Virot aims to fully express the character of Mercurey through wines that are straightforward, frank and generous.
