Puligny-Montrachet
A benchmark for the world’s greatest dry white wines, Puligny-Montrachet is synonymous with precision, minerality, and elegance. Nestled between Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, this appellation is devoted exclusively to Chardonnay.
The wines reveal aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, fresh hazelnut, and wet stone, sometimes evolving with age to include subtle buttery or toasty notes. On the palate, they are taut and finely chiseled, with a long, saline finish and remarkable freshness.
Puligny is home to numerous acclaimed Premier Crus — including Les Pucelles, Clavoillon, and Champ Gain — and shares with Chassagne two of Burgundy’s most legendary Grands Crus: Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet. It also boasts a rare gem of its own: Chevalier-Montrachet, perched on higher ground and known for its vertical, more linear style.
These are wines built for aging, gaining depth, complexity, and stature over time.
