Located in the Côte Chalonnaise, just south of the Côte de Beaune, Rully is a dynamic appellation that continues to win over wine enthusiasts. It produces mostly white wines from Chardonnay, along with a smaller selection of Pinot Noir reds.
Rully’s white wines are vibrant, precise, and elegant, offering aromas of white flowers and white-fleshed fruits such as pear and apple. They feature a mineral backbone reminiscent of the great whites of the Côte de Beaune — yet often at a more accessible price. Certain climats, particularly Premier Crus, bring additional roundness and complexity.
The reds, though less common, are supple, fruity, and quickly expressive. Expect notes of cherry and raspberry, with a light, indulgent palate. On the best terroirs, they can surprise with their finesse and charm.
Rully is also a renowned center for the production of Crémant de Bourgogne, crafted using the traditional method.
