Domaine Alain Mathias is a family-run wine estate located in Épineuil, in the Yonne department of Burgundy. Founded in 1982 by Alain Mathias, it is now run by his son Bastien and his daughter-in-law Carole, both trained oenologists. The estate covers approximately fifteen hectares of vineyards spread between Épineuil and the Chablis area.
Managed according to organic farming principles, the vineyard focuses on respecting the terroir and the environment. The estate’s cellar, carved into a former quarry, provides ideal natural conditions for wine ageing.
The estate produces red wines made from Pinot Noir, notably Bourgogne Épineuil, as well as white wines from Chardonnay, such as Petit Chablis, Chablis, and selected cuvées from Tonnerre. The wines stand out for their freshness, precision, and fine expression of the Burgundy terroir.
