Saint-Aubin
Nestled between the prestigious villages of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin remains a relatively discreet appellation — yet one that is increasingly sought after. It produces both crisp, vibrant white wines and supple, fruit-forward reds.
Saint-Aubin’s Chardonnays are mineral-driven and refined, offering aromas of white flowers, citrus, flint, and sometimes a well-integrated hint of oak. They deliver a fresh, lively palate reminiscent of their illustrious neighbors, often at a more accessible price point.
The reds, made from Pinot Noir, are delicate and enjoyable even in their youth, with notes of cherry, raspberry, gentle spice, and a light, elegant structure.
Notable climats such as “Les Murgers des Dents de Chiens” and “En Remilly” are particularly esteemed, rivaling Premier Crus from nearby Chassagne or Puligny.
