Bruno Colin
Created in 2003 after a family split, this independent estate embodies a new generation committed to terroir. With around 8.5 hectares spread across Puligny, Chassagne, Saint-Aubin, and Santenay, it is expertly managed by Bruno Colin, whose oenological rigor and terroir expression shine through in each cuvée.
The estate follows stricter organic viticulture, with mechanical plowing, limited yields, hand harvesting, and slow pressing to preserve fruit purity. The range includes eight white Premier Crus in Chassagne and several more discreet red cuvées, showcasing the diversity of Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune.
The whites stand out with their mineral tension, salinity, and pure energy, with controlled barrel aging that blends seamlessly with the wine’s flesh. The reds, often from Puligny, develop delicate tannins, elegant structure, and a refined aromatic palette centered on red berries and subtle spices.
The human-scale cellar favors parcel-based vinifications: fermentation with indigenous yeasts, in wooden or stainless steel tanks depending on the intended style, followed by moderate aging in new oak (15–25%) depending on the vintage. The estate is well regarded by the specialized press and passionate enthusiasts for its ability to articulate fruit maturity with a true sense of place.
