This historic 11-hectare plot is renowned as one of the finest Marsannay wines ever vinified. It is composed of the estate's oldest vines, ranging from 25 to 70 years old. The 2021 vintage is distinguished by its particularly refined profile.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: A dense robe.
  • Nose: Powerful yet refined, marked by a very "Pinot-like" character (fresh rose, morello cherry, licorice, and sweet spices). It develops beautifully in the glass.
  • Palate: The body appears finer than in 2021, with tannins that seem less massive and more refined.

Established in 1979 in Marsannay-la-Côte, in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Bruno Clair is a family-run estate covering 27 hectares across 8 villages, producing 32 different appellations. Bruno Clair, a descendant of a long line of winemakers, built the estate by bringing together family-owned parcels and acquiring new vineyards.

The domaine is renowned for its red wines made from Pinot Noir, particularly from Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, and Chambolle-Musigny, as well as for its white wines from Marsannay and Morey-Saint-Denis. The estate's philosophy is rooted in sustainable viticulture, with a strong respect for the soil and the vine, aiming to produce elegant wines that faithfully reflect their terroirs.
