The Domaine des Hospices de Beaune is one of the most iconic wine estates in Burgundy. Founded in 1443, this former medieval hospital is famous for its Hôtel-Dieu and its colorful glazed tile roofs. Over centuries of donations, the estate has built up an exceptional vineyard of around 60 hectares, spread across the most prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. It mainly produces Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines, both red and white. Every November, the wine auction of the Hospices attracts enthusiasts and professionals from around the world. Each cuvée bears the name of its generous donor, a testament to a unique philanthropic legacy. The winemaking is carefully carried out by selected partner vintners. The wines of the Hospices de Beaune combine power, elegance, and great aging potential. This estate perfectly embodies the union of hospital tradition, winemaking excellence, and global cultural influence.
