Vosne-Romanée, a jewel of the Côte de Nuits, embodies the quintessence of Pinot Noir. Its color ranges from brilliant ruby to deep, almost black purple. The nose combines ripe red fruits—strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, blueberry—with spicy and woody notes. Over time, the bouquet develops nuances of leather, fur, and kirsch-soaked cherry. On the palate, this velvety yet powerful wine offers fleshy richness, balanced by a fine tannic structure. It impresses with its finesse, depth, and remarkable aging potential.
A wine for refined pairings, it beautifully complements roasted meats, lamb, game birds, or even pan-seared foie gras. Its aromatic power also pairs well with strong cheeses such as Époisses or Cîteaux.
Ideal serving temperature: 14 to 16 °C.
Surrounded by its legendary Grands Crus—Romanée-Conti, Richebourg, La Tâche—the Vosne-Romanée appellation, recognized in 1936, lies on well-exposed clay-marl and limestone soils. Here, everything expresses the purest soul of Burgundy.
