Échezeaux Grand Cru
Échezeauxis a Grand Cru red from the Côte de Nuits, displaying a deep purple color. Its bouquet evolves from cherry, rose, and violet to animal, spicy, leather, and forest floor notes. On the palate, it is ample, fleshy, and well-balanced, with a dense texture and supple tannins, reaching maturity after several years of aging.
It pairs beautifully with robust dishes such as roast lamb, ribeye steak, game, and washed-rind cheeses.
Serving temperature: 15–16 °C.
Located in Flagey-Échezeaux, between Clos Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée, this historic vineyard sits on diverse soils of marl, pebbles, and clay-limestone, facing east at elevations between 230 and 300 meters.
Granted Grand Cru status since 1937.
