Viré-Clessé is a white wine from the Mâconnais, with a pale golden hue and green highlights. Its expressive nose reveals hawthorn, acacia, honeysuckle, lemongrass, and white peach, with a floral and minty touch. On the palate, it is lively, fresh, round, and supple, with a fine tension that gives it energy and vibrancy.
It pairs beautifully with steamed fish, white meats in sauce, poultry, shellfish, and soft-rind or goat cheeses.
Serving temperature: 11 to 13 °C.
Produced in the communes of Viré and Clessé, the vineyard lies between 200 and 440 meters in altitude on Jurassic limestone and marl-limestone soils, ideally exposed to the east.
