Côte de Beaune

Just south of the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune stretches for about twenty kilometers, from Ladoix-Serrigny to the Maranges. This is a land of contrast and harmony, where powerful red wines and world-class whites coexist in perfect balance.

In the northern part, Pinot Noir shines in renowned crus such as Pommard, Volnay, Beaune, and Savigny-lès-Beaune, producing elegant, structured wines with aromas of red berries and spice.

Further south, Chardonnay takes the spotlight, reaching extraordinary heights on the slopes of Meursault,Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and the Corton hill—home to both red and white Grands Crus, including the illustrious Corton-Charlemagne.

At the very pinnacle? Montrachet and its four legendary Grands Crus siblings: Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet—each crafting some of the finest white wines in the world.

The Côte de Beaune is also rich in village appellations and classified Premier Cru climats, offering a remarkable diversity of expressions—ranging from finesse and minerality to depth and intensity.
